Leaf: It was such a beautiful day connecting with these mamas and their sweet girls…I met Jess (on the right) in China 6 years ago. (Medlow Bath, Australia)

Rae: Look what I found in my tree! Kenya is here whenever possible-- I don't know how many times today I had to call her out of the tree. (Pai, Thailand)

Leaf: These girls made the most of everyone walking past their house on the way to the markets and did some busking. Gorgeous!! (Marrickville, Australia)

Leaf: We love a slow, slow, Sabbathy Saturday morning where breakfast is late and the pyjamas stay on for a long time. (Yarramundi, Australia)

Rae: I have discovered that I adore stones, especially stones at the beach. On our retreat Christy and I went to a beach called Pebble Beach, where we spent a very happy hour sorting through the most beautiful sand polished stones. (Half Moon Bay, USA)

Leaf: Who would have thought that in a waiting room full of retired Aussie farmers I'd be transported back to my beloved India? (Barrington, Australia)

Rae: There are possibly more than 45,000 abandoned or burned houses in Detroit. It is a completely unique city, a collection of the shells of homes, often beautiful and decayed. Some blocks have one or two occupied houses on them. I've never been anywhere quite like Detroit, where my husband grew up. (Detroit, USA)

Leaf: This is us in the future on our art retreat in Paris. (Imagining Paris while in Thailand)

Rae: Today is about undeserved grace. I was kind of a jerk to Chinua this morning because I felt like my desk had been "appropriated" for other purposes and I didn't have my own workspace. I spoke unkindly and with much griping and then went off to work at a coffee shop. When I got home he had moved another desk into the studio, complete with the dove you gave me, my books, and a rose. (Pai, Thailand)
