Leaf: This is the path I walk down in the mornings talking to God. This morning the 3 of us walked and prayed (we prayed for you guys as well). (Yarramundi, Australia)

Rae: Well, this was surprising. I can't say that I've ever seen anyone peddling paintings of the Virgin and Child in Pai before. I bought one for the meditation center. (Ha! Kidding!) But anyway, the man selling them was delightful. (Pai, Thailand)

Leaf: Everywhere I look there are blessings…the Australian bush, a small veggie garden, the sweetest man on earth and a miracle baby. (Yarramundi, Australia)

Rae: Last night we watched the Loy Krathong parade. Isaac was very excited about the big floats, and kept yelling out, "Wow! Pretty! Flowers!" (Pai, Thailand)

Leaf: This was one of the worst journeys I have ever made. Mode of transport: VIP Bus. Estimated travel time: 10 hours. Actual travel time: 17.5 hours. Amount of stops to repair the bus: 12. Length of time spent in a road block: 3 hours. Air Conditioning: Switched off after the first hour. Amount of windows: 0. It was so claustrophobic that people were having panic attacks at not being able to get enough oxygen. My amazing husband spent a few hours here next to the toilet, holding the door open so that we could all breathe. (In between Luang Prabang and Vientiane, Laos)

Rae: So this happened. He'd been asking for a long time for his hair to be short, and we finally caved. (Victoria, Canada)

Leaf: Guest photographer: Brendan. We had breakfast with the locals in the market today. (Luang Nam Tha,  Laos)

Rae: Chinua and I were married under this tree nearly thirteen years ago. We took the kids there to see our spot, (surrounded on all sides by water, so beautiful!) and I can't remember whether it was Kenya or Leafy who called it the tree of life. They all sprang from that moment when we said we would love each other forever. (Oyama, Canada)
