Rae: The Leafy boy turned eight (eight!) yesterday. This is him looking manly with his Nutella mustache from his birthday breakfast. (Pai, Thailand)
Leaf: A quick pic from inside a minivan heading to Bangkok. Everyone has their shopping in the back of the song taew, life as usual even in the midst of a protesting city. (Bangkok, Thailand)
Rae: Graffiti wall message for us both. (Chiang Mai, Thailand)
Leaf: "Rae Beloved." (Pranburi Thailand)
Rae: I stopped at this roadside stand to find out what these cool little treats were. There are sweets inside, grilled inside leaves and bamboo. (Somewhere between Pai and Chiang Mai, Thailand)
Leaf: Three fishing boats at sunrise. (Pranburi, Thailand)
Rae: I drove a motorbike from Pai to Chiang Mai today, and it was SO cold! I stopped to smell the sun-warmed pine needles, though, one of my favorite smells. This is a self-portrait of me and my VUS (Very Ugly Shoes) and the pine needles. (Somewhere between Pai and Chiang Mai, Thailand)
Leaf: This beach is one of my favourite beaches in the world. It's so long that I have never reached the one end of it ever. (Pranburi, Thailand)
Rae: I had coffee (and green tea also!) with our lovely, colorful friend yesterday. We talked and ate chocolate balls and a little volunteer tree grew in the center of the table. A symbol of lovely things to come, I hope. (Pai, Thailand)
Leaf: This morning before the sun rose, I found this very Andy Goldsworthy-esque line of shells that children had made the previous afternoon. It was about 6 meters long. When I walked back after the sun had risen, the tides had changed and it had been mostly washed away. (Pranburi, Thailand)
Rae: I would travel down any road that had bourgainvillea hanging over it. (Pai, Thailand)
