Leaf: Magnificent Magical Music Machine. 100% electrically powered. I am yet to actually hear one play…but I'll let you know when it happens. (Varanasi, India)

Rae: My beautiful girl dressed up as She Hulk for the Carnival Parade here on our beach. I like her green almost as much as I like her normal. (Arambol, India)

Leaf: Grand and dilapidated, like so many buildings around here. I walk past this one a couple of times a week. (Varanasi, India)

Rae: I asked him if I could take a photo of him, and he said, "Why?" I said, "Because you are looking so nice under this tree." And he was! With his crossword and his stripey shirt. This tree almost always has a group of old men sitting and chatting under it. I'll try to get you a photo of them another day. (Korgao, India)

Leaf: Varanasi Electricity: perplexing, erratic, murderous, insanely high voltage, helpful, sparkly, exploding and zapping. (Varanasi, India)

Rae: I've been driving around and focusing on taking photos of little things I love about India. This sign caught my attention-- how I love these old hand-lettered signs in their old-fashioned mystery. I love the way they look and how they only exist in certain places in the world now. Leaf: Meet Kajal; she's eight and full of spunk. She spent half an hour leaning in front of me on my lap and chatting. Every now and then she would check my hair for lice (all clear thankfully) while I listened to a traveller play the Hang (drum). (Varanasi, India)

Rae: I've been taking early morning beach walks with Isaac, and this sunrise was gorgeous. (Arambol, India)

Leaf: I love these modified bicycles which can be powered by hand. This man is taking his grandson (I guess) home from school. This is a typical street in my town. (Varanasi, India)

Rae: I see kids walking to school here every morning, and I never get tired of it. This kid has to walk with his sister and her friend, and he's falling a little bit behind. (Arambol, India)

Leaf: Looking at this picture makes my heart crack with love. This little guy getting to choose an after school treat. I wonder how many hand-me-downs the bag and shoes went through before they reached this sweet boy? (Varanasi, India)

Rae: This is one of the only old mango wood boats left in Arambol. I love the old boats with their ancient craftsmanship and the piles of nets. (Arambol, India)
