Leaf: This is my cute neighbour snacking on iddli- fermented rice cake served with coconut chutney.  (Varanasi, India)

Rae: I was crossing the bridge this afternoon when I saw these two boys in the river, creating a whole world. A little island with small pools. I heard the small one tell the big one, "We need a place to bathe and a place to eat." I was entranced by their lovely creation. (Pai, Thailand)

Leaf: These two friends after another full afternoon of imagining one thousand adventures together. (Varanasi, India)

Rae: I wanted to show you something of the effect of the military coup here in Pai, but I haven't seen any military, and other than things being closed at night for curfew, there hasn't been all that much impact. But then I saw this TV, which is the spot where many people gather whenever anything of interest is happening in Thailand, protest clashes, earthquakes, whatever. Now it's just turned off, because the military shut down the news stations and though there are interesting things going on, there is no way to watch them. (Pai, Thailand)

Leaf: I love the shape of these vessels. I know you also love Indian steel shops. xo (Varanasi, India)

Rae: A pile of Croc knockoffs at the Wednesday market. Those are some ugly shoes. (Pai, Thailand)

Leaf: I'm collecting all the things I find beautiful to tell you about…this is a chowki (simple bed). (Varanasi, India)

Rae: Leafy drinking rosella tea with a big basket of litchis in front of him, at my friend's restaurant again. Cold tea and a bit of flourless chocolate cake were exactly what we needed after shoe shopping in the market when I wasn't feeling so well. (Silly me.) (Pai, Thailand)
