Leaf: One of the most beautiful voices alive today. This is Pandit Uday Bhawalkar singing Raag Lalit at the Drupad Mela this morning. His voice is a clear pond, his notes are as straight as arrows into blue sky and then like a water bird diving. I am so inspired. 'Kya bat hai?' (Tulsi Ghat, Varanasi, India)
Rae: As I drove across this bridge, dozens of kites (birds) were gathered above, soaring on the warm air coming from the river, rising and falling and diving, over and over again. I stood underneath and watched for a long time, until I felt like a bird myself. (Siolim, India)
